Also known as Yaowarat, Bangkok Chinatown has been a center of Chinese settlement since 1782. The historic blocks stretch out in all directions and speeds from the Wat Mangkon MRT Station. Chinatown is noted for its food and fun. Visitors can roam around Yaowarat Road - where Pad Thai noodles, seafood soup, roasted chicken and pyramids of tropical fruit tempt the appetite. Some heritage shophouse have reinvented themselves as cool cafés or fine-dining restaurants. That’s the delicious part. The fun part is getting lost following the tempting food aromas into small alleys.
